Fashion Design Program Introduction

Fashion Design Program began to accept students in 2018. Education and training  are carried out with approximately 40 students in this department. Primary education is maintained. The period of education and training covers three years. The language of instruction is Turkish. Fashion Design Program aims to provide the students with the knowledge and skills related to the basic principles and elements of art by developing the artistic talent and creativity of the students during education and training period. While making up a collection, practical training such as preparation of story and colour boards , basic and model applied mold drawing, prototype preparation, production mold preparation, marker plan and cutting operations, planning and organization is provided during education and training process of the program including two years. These efforts target that the students gain knowledge and skills related to work and time study measurements. Students in Fashion Design Program graduate from our institution with comprehensive knowledge and skills that enable them to work in the departments of the factories and workshops such as producing garments; model-mold, planning, design (stylist), work-time study, quality control. The textile sector can be maintained with the labor without major investments. Graduates have the opportunity to establish their own workplaces such as a workshop or a fashion house where a lot of people are able to work with small investments. The fact that the textile sector has an important share in the country's exports increases the chances of graduates to find a job in this field.
